The importance of developing new ways to use renewable energy is currently very relevant to the care of the environment. This time a company patented a new bladeless turbines are safer for birds, cheap when it comes to efficient production and than exist today.
The company that held the patent, named Solar Aero revealed that managed to conceive the design technology through the great Nikola Tesla made in 1913 but, as at that time materials were needed to build, never saw the light.
The design consists of thin metal discs located parallel to, when air currents are moving. Everything is located behind a grid and it is a closed mechanism making it completely safe for birds (with blade turbines kill lots of birds). Of course, the turbine will be located in the right way to make better use of air currents.
Obviously this is a beginning and while technology is very promising, the reality is that yet to see it applied industrially because you have to find what the best materials and to manufacture them at considerable cost. The people of Solar Aero said the price of energy will be generated between 20% and 30% cheaper than that generated by existing technologies.
