4. The staircase
common stairs, those steps, up or down, the stairs of the cave, which has spatial intervals, enters or emerges.
(rungs of the ladder are made of wood but could be any other material, its appearance is not as important as its strength. In a cave is easy to stumble and skin scratching the walls or roll on them and fall into places you did not intend to visit.)
My step allows communication between the bedroom with the door and the tiny lobby, mezzanine dreams of everyday life, the flow of unconscious with the determination of the will.
(As no handrail, I learned how to maintain balance and focus on the steps that I give. I manage the movement of my hips and head turns, and I control that shifts the weight on my ankles. If I'm in too and spatial intervals multiply, folds back on itself and the repetition of the cadence generating a spiral staircase that seems to have no end.)
front of the staircase and along a wall, there is a output scale, and as its name suggests, allows me to climb up the hole, make out the other side and measure the temperature indoors or outdoors.
(On a scale I can swinging and the balance is marked by the upward movement and precise hands that guide my steps. Some days I do tricks on it, others drag me heavily as a fearful oyster leaving its burrow.)
